I AM WALKING!!!!

Now watch out! I have new shoes that flash when I walk, that's so mummy and daddy can find me in the dark.

Grandad said I walk like ET and nanny said I look like a fella called Frank Stein.

When we left grandad's house, a big man dressed as a fire engine gave grandad some letters and an envelope with a bag in it about posting clothes to Eastern Europe. Now I can't see the point in posting them when we were going past it on our way to town.

He said it might be boring going back to the same place but we would look at different things. Grandad drove in and parked his big buggy in the grown up buggy park near a country called Iceland. After that, it was my turn to drive in my buggy and I towed grandad again - he wasn't as heavy as I thought!

We walked through the old station bit and went past Burger King. Now here sat a man who, well lets be honest here, didn't need to be. He was average height but it must be said, he was a bit ambitious around the middle. If I was the manager of BK, I would prefer this man NOT to be the best advert for my shop. We carried on outside and walked where the lady with not many clothes was last week. Grandad mumbled to himself something about not as lucky as last week but with me and Millie by his side, how could he not be lucky??

This week, I had my eyes on bikes. Not buses today, push bikes - loads of them and we stopped at every one where I jumped and giggled with great joy. By a shop, I saw a man asking everybody for some change. I told him " Go and do some work for a change", well I would have if I could say it properly. We walked back over to the park with the big cat in so Millie could do a pooh but all she done was wee'd, then again and again and again and again. Why doesn't she do one long widdle and be done with it. We then met a lady who didn't seem to have a telly at home. She had one little person who was running everywhere but in the right direction and two more that looked the same in a buggy built for two. If I had one of those, I could drive grandad properly. How cool would that be??

When we passed the Post Office in town, there were lots of old people standing there. Grandad said they were going in to draw something but I think he was fibbing because none of them had those big chunky crayons that I have or any paper. Maybe they were going to draw on the walls like I probably will when I'm older.

On the way back to grandad's buggy, we went past the Job Shop again where all those people were supposed to be looking for something last week. I'm glad to say that the economic situation in Readingski is most definitely on the rise because there were only four people still looking around for whatever it was they'd lost - all the others seemed to have found it. Either that or the shop was closed, I couldn't really see.

Grandad drove back and we popped in to see nanny as she was on one of her dinner breaks. I went into a real school but as grandad stayed in the car with Millie, I can't tell you what it was like apart from some man who scared me a bit. When we got home, grandad warmed up a Lasagne thing that nanny had left for him. Now after seeing the BK advert man, I decided my grandad wasn't going to look the same as him, so I ate half of his dinner!!! Not for the first time this week, my grandad missed his dinner but to be honest, he looks like it wouldn't hurt him too much but don't tell him I said so.

Later on grandad said that whilst I can eat for England, I can pooh for them too. Well, what goes in must come out. We played with my toys and when I threw them about, grandad said I looked like a man called Wenger from North London who talks with yet another funny accent.

Another little sleep in the afternoon, didn't want to play the stay-a-wake game then had some chicken for dinner. Playing with nanny now whilst grandad has a bath as he tries to clean off my dinner from his head.

Waiting for mummy, so see you next week.

Monday, April 22nd 2013

Today my grandad took me to the Pet Shop as we had to get some sweets for Millie. I saw some funny fish in a big glass box, they were all pretty colours and they looked at me and were trying to talk. I couldn't hear what they were saying because the glass was in the way but I could see their mouths moving.

Millie loves the Pet Shop, she walks with her nose on the ground all the time like it was stuck to the floor. She picked up a chewy bone and walked away with it but grandad had to take it off her because she forgot to bring her money. We got her sweets and went to the paying thingy where a person, I think it was a girl, made some funny noises at me. "Cuchy coo, la la la" and rubbish like that. What the hell does she think I am? She had metal things in her face and through her nose, her hair looked all spiky. If she walked past a magnet, she'd have got stuck!! Grandad said she looked like she fell face first into his fishing box but I'm not sure what that means.

After that we went to throw some more bread at those stupid birds. They knew grandad was a rubbish shot because they all came over to eat the bread but little did they know that grandad must have been practising. He hit two of the big white birds on the head, one of them made a snake noise at him - I think he remembered grandad doesn't like snakes. All the little birds seemed to laugh when he hit the big birds which I thought was funny. We walked miles - well, grandad and Millie did because I done the driving. We walked past the Job Centre where grandad told me people went to look for something but it seemed to me that they didn't really want to find whatever they were meant to be looking for as they all stood outside with those smokey sticks. Some of them are really clever though, they were drinking out of paper bags!! How do they do that??

On the way back in grandads buggy, we stopped off at a place grandad called  a Lotment. It was quite a scruffy sort of place, obviously for people bought up on the wrong side of the river. Grandad went to a little area called 66b and for some strange reason, he poured some water over the dirt. Millie then done the same but I couldn't because I had my nappy on. I can't wait until I don't need it, then I can water the dirt too. There was only one little house in this area in Lotment but it didn't look like anyone was home.

Mummy made me and grandad a pie made with some fish from the Pet Shop - it was brilliant. I could've eaten ALL of it but grandad pinched some and said I'd burst if I had too much. After dinner I played the same game with grandad as last week - the pretend to be asleep thing. Another two hours today to equal last weeks record. Nate 2 Grandad 0.

Whilst we were playing, I found out grandad's tickly bit. I put my hand up his jumper and tickled his belly, I know that's not a difficult thing but it made us both laugh a lot. Millie came running in to see what was going on but she wouldn't let us tickle her.

I dropped off to sleep late in the afternoon and when I woke up, mummy was downstairs with nanny. That was a nice surprise. Grandad got changed into a shirt and a thing like Millie's lead and disappeared again. I had some dinner which grandad calls tea and then went home with mummy.

Looking forward to next Monday already.

Monday, April 15th

After grandad picked me up yesterday, we went back and played on the floor. Grandad got my bricks out, Millie ran off with one of them and it was funny watching grandad trying to get it back - he's not as young as he used to be! I managed to find the phone and the telly box and preferred to play with them, grandad thought he'd hidden them but he's not very good at that.

We watched some football game on the telly, the red team scored but then the black team did and a man with a tiny flag started waving it at the man with the whistle - I think he wanted to go to the toilet but he couldn't shout so he waved his flag. The whistle man said it wasn't a goal and I got bored so fell asleep.

When I woke up, grandad put my Gruffalo coat on, I mean he put it on me as it wouldn't fit him although I KNOW he wants it to!!! I sat in my seat in the back of grandads big buggy and we went to town to walk Millie. It was great fun, lots of noise, lots of people - grandad said some of them spoke English too and that is what I'm meant to be learning. That's a shame because not many people in town talk English so it'll be hard to talk to them when I'm older.

We went to the park in town - the one with the big cat thing in it, Millie done her tiddle and then we walked back past the new train station. It looked really nice although I'm too young to remember what the last one looked like last year. A nice lady who didn't have many clothes on walked past us and for some reason we then turned around and went the way we'd just been. I really couldn't see the point in that, how am I meant to learn my way around when grandad kept going around in circles? The lady with not many clothes looked lost too as she was always in front of us!!! Grown-ups are so silly at times and I often think that I never want to grow up - just like grandad. We finally managed to get past the lady with not many clothes when she went to talk to a policeman.

I SAW A BIG BUS!!! It was sooooooo big and then I saw some more, lots of them. I loved the buses and grandad said he'd take me on one soon but we'll never get on one because they are just too high to climb.

When we got back home we all had our lunch, me in my chair at the table, grandad sat with me but Millie can't sit still so she had to eat on the floor. She's rubbish with a knife and folk, can't even manage with my spoon. I felt sorry for her so I threw some of my food at her - no, I threw it for her. Grandad had some bubbles and it was so much fun when he made them dance all over my head - and my dinner. He said he will get a picture of them for mummy and daddy but I have to be wearing a proper shirt before he does. Oh talking of shirts, mine got grubby because grandad forgot my bib AGAIN, mummy will not be a happy bunny!

We played some more and I was having a brilliant time but I got a little tired. Grandad told me I needed a sleep but I had other ideas. I saw him text mummy to say what a great day we were having and I'm not sure he should've done. If mummy knows he enjoys our days, she may make me stay here forever so I played a little game with him. Every time he put me in my bed, I'd let him know I was still awake. It was brilliant fun and I done this for nearly TWO HOURS then I got bored again so went off for a little sleep.

Nanny came home and grandad ran away to the bathroom. Daddy came to pick me up which was great. Nanny made me a shepherds pie which I loved. I shared a little bit with Millie again then daddy took me home to see mummy and my day was over.

Can't wait until next week and neither can grandad!!
