Well, today was the day I'd been waiting for. Today we're going to see a bloke called Henry, whether I've met Henry before or not I cannot say. Grandad has been on about seeing this fella for ages, he said it would make an enjoyable trip out so, with little say on the matter anyway, I went along for the ride and the promise of an ice cream if mummy let me.

On the way we stopped off at some office block to see a friend of grandad's. To be honest, I was a little bored and after a few attempts at driving the car at home, I wanted to show off my driving skills to everyone. I wiggled the big round thing and twiddled the sticky gear but just like at home, I didn't go far. Grandad's car is stupid anyway and not very good against car pinchers because it has no keyhole! I looked under the big round thing which needed a great degree of skill in the first place but there wasn't a keyhole like on mummy's car. After their little chat, grandad decided it would be better for him to drive us to the parky car place so we could at least visit Henry as it would be quicker. When we got there, we all took a walk down by the big river next to the town. It was lovely, there were big ships in the harbour and a big playground to play in but first of all grandad said we were to walk around the town (presumably to see this Henry cadgy). The people in the town talked a bit posh and a lot of them were foreigners (foreigners meaning not English, Polish or Romanian) but alas, I didn't see Henry.

After our walk around we stopped in the park and played on the swings and the slide. There was a merry-go-round which looked far from being merry, I think I'd have puked up if I'd gone on that! We then had some lunch by the river in the park and then grandad got us an ice cream (not an ice cream each but one for all of us - how tight!!). He took an extra big mouthful himself "just to test it" he said and then got some for me. I didn't like the white bit so I dribbled it out on grandad's hand, he gave some to Millie on the cone and she like it, she liked it a lot. He then finished the rest off himself. Grandad then took us back to the car and said what a lovely day it was in Henley. Henley?? Not Henry??

Due to my huge disappointment, I said very little on the way back to grandad's. The fact I say very little anyway has nothing to do with the disappointment I felt but once back, we got the toys out and played anyway. I managed to wander away from grandad's watchful eye as I pretended to be a magic man again. What a great trick I performed. I've been trying to practice it for ages but have never had the chance like I had today. Under the cover of my snuggy, I sneaked into the kitchen and silently, oh so silently, I picked up Millie's FULL bowl of water and tipped the whole lot over. Not just over but OVER - over the whole kitchen floor, over my trousers, my vest but not my t-shirt. Now that was real magic!!! I also managed to change the look on grandad's face when he wandered in to see what I was up to. I thought the trick was perfect but the wet bits weren't so pleasant but still, it was worth it.

Me and grandad then cuddled up on the sofa and watched a film that had people like me and him in it. 'The Spy Who..........' I didn't see the rest of it but it had a man with grandad's haircut in it and a diddy version of him; just like me and grandad!! The man done a funny song and I done a little dance that made my grandad laugh so much, he had trousers wetter than mine. What a fun day we had!!

Later on, nanny comed home and she gave me my tea (dinner), which was nice and then mummy turned up too. Not sure what our plan is for next week, may be something to do with eating something called a dornie if the weather is nice. Once again, I have no idea what this is going to be like but if its and eaty thing, then count this Dogg in!!

Hasta manana

Saturday

Today mummy, daddy, Uncle Steve and grandad Mole were fencing in our garden. I'm not sure who won but I hope they all had their protected suits and masks on.

To save me from getting damaged, I spent the day at grandad's weekender and WOW, he's had a new pool built in the garden and it looked triffik but first of all when grandad picked me up, we had to go and bath the car. This proved to be quite a dangerous experience as Millie tried to eat the windows when the man jetty-washed the car. I am not sure if I liked the car bath as I thought the whirly things were going to get me. I know Millie would have saved me but it looked scary all the same. We got back to grandad's and made some rolls to take to nanny. She was having swimming lessons and then had to get her hair dressed so we were going to meet her from the pool.

As usual with grandad's impeccable timing skills, we were about 30 minutes too early so we done a little tour but as grandad moved his car into a shady area, he forgetted to take his glasses off the roof of the car. When they fell into the road, a man who appeared to be in need of a visit to the Hopticians himself as he ran right over them!!! Grandad, it has to be said, was less than pleased and spent the rest of the afternoon answering texts like this "Ghsuui ndhdik nnbguui". No wonder he never got many replies after that. When it was time - eventually - we went in to meet nanny. We met the other ladies at the pool who all seemed to know grandad a little too well, hope nanny didn't notice. Then, to my utter disgustedness, they took off my shorts, shoes and top and dropped me in the water!! I must admit it was brilliant fun, I played ball and blowed bubbles in the water while I looked for the fish nanny told me were in there. I had loads of splashy time then, just as I was enjoying it, they got me out again. We then popped over to near the hair shop (which looked a bit like the one Millie goes to) and then into a park to have a little picky nick.

After nanny went to get her hair dressed, 'El tres amigos' were back in town again and we popped to see some Welsh people that grandad knows. They were really nice and I took a shine to a girl called Dolly. She was a little older than me, about 22/23 but I reckon good on my chances later on. We then came back to grandad's weekender, which I must say looks like his usual place but with the new swimming pool and then The Dogg came into his own. I ran rings around my grandad, we done some wrestling although he didn't know it, I ran backwards and forwards through the house, chased Millie until I could chase no more, throw bricks in the box, phoned loads of people, turned the washing machine on and off so often it may need a new starty button.

When nanny came home, she had a different head on but I recognised her. Nanny then let me go in the pool but grandad didn't take my shirt off and it got all soaky wet. What brilliant fun I had, I tried to drink all the water but then realised that I couldn't finish it all so I splashed it over grandad and old nanny that had popped to see us. Millie kept out of the way!

As usual after my tea, grandad wanted rid of me so he phoned up mummy to send me back. I wanted to fall asleep on the way back but he kept tickling me to keep me awake. Once we got home, I didn't see any swords from the fencing this morning but there were lots of posts in the garden being built.

Looking forward to Monday already when we're off to visit someone.

Adios for now

Monday, June 3rd

What a gorgeous day it's been today. Sunnyshine all day and great to play outside in.

Today, I've been a postieman. Me and grandad had to take some books to some people he knew. He said he's had these books for ages and now he had come across them, it was time to deliver them. One man warned us that the dog would chew up the book if put through the letter box as he eats all the letters (the dog not the man). When we got there I noticed the posty box was one of those metal ones on the outside of the house. As grandad walked up to the house, it occurred to me that if this dog eats the letters and the letters are in a metal box, OUTSIDE the house, then he must be some dog!!!! I tried to call to grandad when I heard the dog barking and growling but I couldn't because I was laughing too much. Millie started to shake and jumped down onto the floor of the car. We took another book to a house around the corner and then onto another one a little further out. A man was outside on the phone and grandad waved at him and they started to chat. Then the man's lady came out and then a little version of the lady came out too. They all had a chat, grandad got me out to say hello (which, of course, I couldn't as I'm still learning English and Polish so I can go into town). The man then let Millie out of the car and said "He won't run off will he?". First of all, "he" is a she and second, its a bit late to ask if she'd run off once the trap had been opened - like jumping out of an aeroplane, pointing at the parachute on the seat and saying "Did I need that?". Anyway, they were very nice people and I had a cuddle with them.

Then we went to the river to park the car - not in the river but in the Par Cark. There were some big boats there, I guess they were from all over the world because they had lots of lovely colours on them. Millie tried to pull grandad in the water and he got grumpy so I drove on ahead of him. Actually, I'm always ahead of him. Grandad done some Slip, Slap, Slop on me with more sunshine cream than was really necessary (I looked whiter than Millie and fell through grandad's arms when he picked me up) then we walked into the towny bit, Millie stopped grandad halfway across the road which was a bit silly and dangerous. I shall be talking to her about that later but grandad gave her a gentle tug and she poohed on the road!!! Now, if any of the men and ladies who sit down at the council offices are reading this, grandad would've picked up the lonesome jobby on the road but was in danger of getting us all run over so we left it as an obstacle to others and an extremely well placed speed bump. Grandad looked in front trying not to bring attention to us all, Millie was trying to wipe her bum on the path and I kept looking back and pointing to the slippery substance. It was quite funny.

On that note, we took Millie to the park to let her finish what she'd started (just like Mastermind) and she just wandered around in circles, looking up at us then walking around again before finally doing a wee and not her poohy. Grandad made a fed-up sound. When we walked back past the shops, Millie decided that she needed to finish the pooh she'd started so ripped out a beauty right outside the chemist!!! Grandad made another fed-up sound, went red as a beetroot then told Millie (purely for the benefit of humans as Millie couldn't care less) that we'd just been to do this in the park, then he picked up the offending article with one of his ever present cack sacks. He's like a magic man and keeps pulling those bags out of his pocket like a magic man would with rabbits.

Now on Sunday, grandad worked a 16-hour day and then went out again for a little while just after 4am this morning. As he was a little tired so I did my best to keep him awake otherwise he wouldn't sleep at night. I only needed 20 minutes in the morning even though I was a little monkey at Chez Dogg the night before. I made sure we played and played and played. I now have an idea of what a narna is although nanny calls it a b'narna.

Grandad made me go outside, I'm not a lover of that green stuff in the garden and preferred to pick up the broom and wave it around my head, this didn't please grandad as he said I can't go home with bruises and cuts but I tried to show him that I can. He's made a little box of dirt to grow some vegetables in so I tried to stand in that to see if it worked for peoples too. Millie chased some little fluffy things that landed in the garden, she runs at 100mph and never bumps into anything.

For tea (dinner), I had some of my favourite Shepherd's Pie and was pleased that nanny fed me this time as grandad is too slow. Grandad ate the rest of my pie!!!!

That's it for another week at grandad's. Next week he said he will take me to see Henry as we never made it this week as we never got an invite. Not sure what we didn't make but I'm looking forward to seeing Henry, whoever the hell he is.
